New employee in the Mechatronics and Dynamics section
Dario Sirangelo joined us as a PhD student 1 March 2023
We are glad to let everyone know that we are welcoming a new staff member to our department.
Dario Sirangelo joined us as a PhD student on 1 March 2023 and will be working in the Mechatronics and Dynamics section on the following projects: Mobility Assessment of High-Speed Autonomous Ground Vehicle Systems in Off-Road Environments. The project includes several disciplines, mostly through the development of simulation capability: Multibody based high-fidelity vehicle and tire modelling, terramechanics - the interaction between the vehicle and soft ground, sensor modelling, autonomy through perception planning and control, uncertainty quantification, and least but not last, verification and validation on real physical vehicle platforms.
Dario is from Cosenza in the region of Calabria in Italy and has previously studied at Politecnico di Milano. He comes with a newly earned MSc degree here from Mechanical and Production Engineering at AU.
