Rui Figueiredo will join us as postdoc on the 1st of Marts 2025 and will be working in the MEMA section on THE ERC-funded project “ALPS - AI-based Learning for Physical Simulation”. Rui will be supervised by Prof. Alessandro Lucantonio.

Frederik Erhard Gullach will join us as PhD student from 15 February and will be working in the FLEN section on the CO2 capture from seawater. He will be supervised by Mahdi Abkar and Marta Victoria.
Frederik is from Denmark and has previously studied at Aarhus University.

Tian Wang will join us as postdoc from February 1st and will be working in the FLEN-section on experimental characterization of bubbly flows. Tian Wang will be supervised by Pourya Forooghi.
Tian Wang is from China and has previously studied at Niels Bohr Institute and comes from a position as a post-doc at DTU.

Melissa Pilegaard Rasch Nielsen will join us as a research assistant on 15 October. She will work in the MEDY section on the following projects: Automated Soil Strength Measurements. Melissa will be supervised by Ole Balling.
Melissa is from Odense, Denmark and has previously studied at the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering, where she completed her master's degree in the summer of 2024.

Adrián Borbolla Muñoz will join us as an industrial PhD student on the 1 October and will be working in the DEMA section on the project “ZemID: Realising Net-Zero Emissions Manufacturing Via Simulation-Based Identification of Production Capabilities”.
Adrián will be supervised by Devarajan Ramanujan and Charles Møller.
Adrián is from Spain and has previously received his MSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Aarhus University. He comes from a position as Environmental/Data Engineer in Sustainable Manufacturing at Grundfos A/s.

Phan Hoang Dao Nguyen will join us as PhD student the 1 October and will be working in the MEMA-section on the following projects: HyFly. Phan will be supervised by Søren Madsen and Michal K. Budzik.
Phan has previously studied at Aarhus University and graduated in Mechanical Engineering this summer.

As of February 28 2025, Devarajan Ramanujan will step down from his position as Head of Section in Design and Manufacturing. Dev will continue at MPE in a position of 10 percent and will otherwise continue his career as an associate professor at DTU.
We wish him all the best in his future career endeavours.
