The Innovation Committee is a closed forum whose role is to advise the Head of Department on matters relating to innovation, knowledge exchange, and industry collaboration. The committee addresses, among other things:
- Strategic aspects of the department’s innovation activities.
- Collaboration with companies and external partners.
- Initiatives that strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge transfer.
- Development of frameworks for applied research and innovation projects.
- Opportunities for external funding of innovation activities.
- Coordination of major innovation and industry collaboration projects.
The committee consists of the same members as the Research Committee, thereby ensuring representation from each of the department’s four sections.
